Install a theme or plugin ZIP

Before you begin

Keep a backup of an existing site. The current package minimum is WordPress 6.6 and PHP 7.4; use a maintained PHP version that your host and installed software support.

Download free foundations from download.pakpress.org. Purchased files appear in the store account after payment confirmation.

Install a plugin

In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Select the plugin ZIP, install it and activate it. Install Core before the language plugins.

Install a theme

Open Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme. Select the theme ZIP, install it and activate it.

If WordPress offers to replace an existing installation, check that the package is the intended update and that you have a backup.

Complete activation

For a paid product, open Settings → PakPress Activation on the installed site and enter the key for that product and domain.
